Things to check:
*If you’re getting false alerts:
- Set trapEEzEE on a flat and stable surface
- Keep away from slapping doors, weak/moving floors, etc
- Keep away from wind or fans etc that may cause movement
- REDUCE the sensor SENSITIVITY (Adjust inside the App)
If your NOT getting alerts when the trap is triggered:
- Check battery level and signal level in the App
-
(If signal level is low, try testing it near the hub (eg within 50 feet)
-
(If it works when close, try the trap in a new closer location)
-
(If that works, add another hub closer to the trap to make the network stronger)
- -Test the whole TrapEEzEE by moving/shaking it slightly
- -INCREASE the sensor SENSITIVITY in the App
If you’re NOT catching animals/mice:
- -Check the trap for bent, damaged or broken parts
- -Try different bait (Peanut Butter, Tootsie Roll, Cheese)
- -Clean and then lubricate the trap moving and sliding parts:
-
...Examples:
-
-Silicone based food safe Lubricants (if around food)
-
-Dry Graphite (won't attract dust)
-If they are STEALING the bait:
- -Use stickier bait (eg Chew a Tootsie Roll, and jam a bit into the trap bait holder)
- -Don’t put too much (or too little) bait (bait holder about half full)
- -Clean and then lubricate the trap moving and sliding parts with a wee bit of qqq
- -Some traps have a sensitivity slider… if so, adjust sensitivity
- -Change the trap (try a different one)
